That's great news in terms of increased social housing supply. About 12 months ago, the Playground in Fitzroy Gardens Kings Cross got a much needed upgrade for the increasing numbers of children and families living in the area, who have little or no access to any other play space - but not without conflict from local residents, including egging and burning down a swing.

We've been working with Hume Community Housing to develop the first Community Cohesion Strategy for residents of its more than 1700 properties across Western Sydney. Have a read all about it in the latest edition of HousingWORKS!
Ku-ring-gai Council recently trialled recruiting community members for their Activate Lindfield design workshops facilitated by Cred. As opposed to opt-in workshops, where participants often have a particular interest or issue (such as parking) we were able to engage and collaborate with a variety of people that reflected the area's demographics. They had great ideas and insights, from comments about connections and enclosure to consideration of safety and accessibility.
