NSW Department of Communities and Justice
Consultation to inform the DCJ Multicultural Plan 2022- 2025
Cred Consulting designed and delivered a targeted engagement program on behalf of the NSW Government Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) to inform the development of the inaugural DCJ Multicultural Plan 2022-2025.
The purpose of the targeted engagement program was to identify the needs, priorities and concerns of key community stakeholders and internal clients.
Our approach
Cred’s targeted engagement program included:
- An online stakeholder workshop
- Three online focus groups, and
- An online mini survey for young people.
To adhere to NSW Health Guidelines at the time, the engagement program was delivered online.
Cred Consulting also reported the findings of a prior online stakeholder survey in a discussion paper, which was distributed to participants ahead of the targeted engagement program commencing.
Outcomes
As part of our consultation, we heard from almost 50 service providers and community leaders from across NSW.
Our consultation will help inform the DCJ Multicultural Plan 2022-25, which will be the first one prepared as a combined agency since the former NSW Families and Community Services (FACS) and NSW Department of Justice merged to form DCJ in July 2019.
