October, 2022

Social infrastructure – including our libraries, theatres, parks, pools and playgrounds – is fundamental to our health, wellbeing and resilience, and ability to participate in community life.

If new facilities aren’t delivered alongside new or growing communities, or if existing facilities aren’t adapted to meet changing needs, there can be significant social, cultural, economic and political costs.

But demonstrating the importance of understanding social infrastructure needs to decision makers, and developing sustainable funding frameworks, is not always easy.

On 27 October 2022, we joined our friends at GLN Planning to present a free webinar, sharing our insights into

  • How to identify social infrastructure needs
  • The value of planning for social infrastructure needs
  • Funding approaches to deliver on social infrastructure needs
  • Stories of success, from aspiration to delivery.
